Today was our last day and I think we both felt the strain. We drove from our haven in Porches onto Faro, where we were going to spend a couple of hours before taking the car back to the airport and flying back to Lonodon.
We arrived in Faro on a bank holiday (which of course we were unaware of and really disappointing as we didn't get to do the little shopping that we had planned). At the same time I'm also glad that we didnt miss Faro because it really is a lovely little town and well worth a visit.

The old part of the city is still surrounded by the Roman walls which date back to the 9th century.















After dropping off the car we say goodbye to Portugal .... for now !
